46 000 visitors, 150 exhibitors and two fair days full of passion, adrenaline and latest trends. The largest automotive show in southern Poland has shown that the pace of development in the automotive industry has no equal.
The main slogan of the sixteenth edition of the ProfiAuto Show was “Driven by Passion”. Car lovers and representatives of the automotive industry arrived to Katowice during the weekend on 8-9 June. The attendance was record-breaking – the attractions were watched by 46 000 visitors during two days – 6 thousand more than in the previous year. Once again, a large group of visitors was professionals, mainly car mechanics.
The fair attractions have proved that the automotive industry is inextricably linked to the adrenaline and emotions at the highest level. A lot of modern solutions were presented at the stands of exhibitors – the biggest brands in the industry, showing that the marriage of the automotive and IT sectors is entering into a new phase.
– It was definitely a hot weekend. For the first time on the fair in Poland, we showed the car bungee jumping. A car with stuntmen inside jumped from more than 80 meters, and the whole show was launched by Maciej Wisławski who summarised that our daredevils were exposed to forces incomparable with any accelerations existing during rallies. The ProfiAuto Show is an annual motoring feast, so we place emphasis on unique emotions, both those related to entertainment and the sectoral ones, through cooperation with the major automotive brands from all over the world – says Łukasz Kopiec, the marketing director of ProfiAuto.
The attractions in the entertainment zone included, but were not limited to, the motorcycling shows, drift or kart driving. Very popular were also free bungee jumping and jumps on a stunt pad as well as numerous stands with simulators, and above all – the virtual car repair shop set up in the very middle of the Spodek Arena. On the other hand, quite real were the automotive stars, known both in Poland and abroad. During the ProfiAuto Show 2019, you could meet, among others, Kajetan Kajetanowicz, Maciej Wisławski, Adam Klimek and Klaudia Podkalicka.
In addition to technical presentations, the professionals could participate in a varied programme of trainings, and the special Workshop Zone with the competition, rally and training sectors was prepared. Numerous service equipment shows and competitions also took place. For the first time ever, the mechanics competed for the Cup of the Mechanic and valuable prizes, including the 30-ton press.
– The sectoral layer of the show is very important for us. It is well known to the exhibitors who bring to Katowice every year the latest news and large dose of substantive knowledge not comparable with any other motoring event in Poland. We developed the training program in detail, taking into consideration the current trends and changes in the market. This combination marks the character of the ProfiAuto Show. This year, we introduced a lot of innovations that become part of the trends such as e-mobility or autonomous cars as well as the latest technological developments including, but not limited to, those related to the workshop tools – summarises Mariusz Maksym, the coordinator of the ProfiAuto Serwis network.
The next edition of the ProfiAuto Show – in just a year.
