This edition of the conference was held at the Bania Thermal & Ski Hotel in Białka Tatrzańska. One of the most important elements of the event was the new ProfiAuto catalogue for ordering car parts and accessories which, in its new version, is to be the most intuitive, easy-to-use and advanced tool on the market. Its release is scheduled for November 2023. During this year’s meeting, Moto-Profil experts also spoke about the development of ProfiAuto’s own brands - ProfiPower, OYODO and JPN, and how to develop companies by creating new branches and expanding their operations around their regional automotive wholesalers and shops.
One of the special guests at the conference was Tomasz Bęben, President of the Association of Automotive Parts Distributors and Producers (SDCM), who emphasised the importance of Moto-Profil’s cooperation with Polish and foreign organisations working in support of the independent aftermarket. In their speeches, both Tomasz Bęben and Adam Kapek, Vice President of Moto-Profil, also spoke about the situation of the industry in recent years and the good prospects for its future. The second special guest was one of the most awarded motivational speakers in Poland - Szymon Kudła, who explained to the participants how to effectively sell their services in an ever-changing economic reality. The event was also attended by Fotios Katsardis, President of TEMOT International - the largest international organisation of independent distributors of car parts and accessories, of which Moto-Profil is the sole representative in Poland (in the passenger car category).
The substantive part of the conference ended with a gala awards ceremony for the network partners who had excelled over the past year in key areas of business activity, such as the use of modern IT tools, marketing, perfect management of the company’s finances, operational excellence or the development of the company and the brand on local markets.
‘30 years of Moto-Profil, and thus three decades of building an independent aftermarket in Poland and Europe, is naturally a source of great pride for us. However, we do not wish to dwell only on the past, because the future is crucial. That is why we are now focusing on the development of new technologies that will enable our partners and contractors to shift into sixth gear in the development of their businesses. At this year’s conference, we wanted to emphasize that such a well-developed organism, which is the largest in Poland and one of the largest networks of independent wholesalers, shops and service centres in Europe, constitutes an opportunity to expand their companies as well. That is why we are constantly working on new solutions, such as, for example, the “star” of our conference - the new version of the ProfiAuto catalogue, which will be an intuitive and sophisticated tool for ordering parts quickly, easily and intuitively. We also recalled that the development of electromobility is not so much a threat as an opportunity for our industry. We know from industry analyses that in the next few years Poles and citizens of most European countries will not immediately switch to “electrics”, but will remain with used, traditionally powered cars. It is obvious that we need to prepare for electromobility, but we see its slow development as an opportunity to accelerate the independent aftermarket in the coming years,’ says Michał Tochowicz, President of Moto-Profil.
During the evening banquet, the symbolic finale of the competition linked to Moto-Profil’s 30th anniversary, with a record prize pool of PLN 1.7 million, was also part of the agenda. The keys to Skoda Fabia cars were handed over to the customers who achieved the highest number of points in the MP BENEFITS partner programme during the competition.
The partners of the event were leading suppliers of parts and accessories for the automotive industry, including: ATE, Bosch, Brembo, Castrol, Denso, febi bilstein, FILTRON, JPN, MANN-FILTER, Monroe, NRF, OSRAM, OYODO, ProfiPower, Philips, Schaeffler, VARTA, Valeo, Tomex, ZF and Zimmermann.
