10 000 m2 of storage area, modern offices and more deliveries on both night and day routes. Moto-Profil, one of the largest distributors of automotive parts and accessories, has opened a modern hub warehouse in Swiebodzin, Poland. It is the next step in the development plans of the company.
Moto-Profil’s new logistics centre was opened in Swiebodzin at the beginning of December. This place was selected due to its favourable location and the proximity of important communication routes. The warehouse is located next to the expressway S3, just 4 kilometres away from the A2 motorway interchange Berlin - Poznan. The first deliveries from Swiebodzin were already sent to customers on 9 December.
– The new logistics platform complements our “triangle” project, which includes the storage centres in Chorzow, Swiebodzin and Jawczyce, near Warsaw. This system will allow us to ensure the best availability of resources and boost deliveries during the night and daytime hours. The centre will take over approx. 30 percent of the market served by Moto-Profil. Moreover, quick access to the key communication routes will optimise the delivery costs, says Leszek Żurek, President of the Board of Directors of Moto-Profil.
The logistics centre in Swiebodzin consists of 10 000 m2 storage area, 300 m2 of office space and a modern training room. It is the second largest warehouse facility possessed by Moto-Profil. The area of the Warsaw hub is 7 500 m2 and the main warehouse in Chorzow is 50 000 m2. The range of products stored in Swiebodzin covers the product portfolio available at the company’s headquarters. The entire facility is supported by modern WMS / TMS using the latest generation terminals and scanners. The hub is also equipped with sorters to separate orders and sort goods. Ultimately, it is planned to employ 100 people on a two-shift basis for the needs of the centre.
